Before choosing an HR training institute in India, most candidates search Google for the same handful of questions: how much an HR course costs, how long it takes, what salary they can expect, and whether certification is worth the money. Our training team answers these questions every week in counselling sessions. Here are straight answers.
How much does an HR course cost in India?
Short answer: anywhere from a few thousand rupees for a short online certificate to several lakhs for an MBA in HR. Most practical HR certifications and professional diplomas fall between about ₹15,000 and ₹1,00,000.
The fee depends on the course length, how much hands-on practice and software training is included, whether there are live trainers or only recorded videos, and whether placement support is part of the package. Compare what is included, not just the price.
For reference, the listed fees at HR International Academy are:
| Course | Duration | Listed fee |
|---|---|---|
| CCHRP (International HRM) | 4–6 months | ₹60,000 (699 USD for international students) |
| Professional Diploma in HRM | 6 months | ₹60,000 |
| HR Analytics | 50 hours or 3 months | ₹25,000 |
| SAP SuccessFactors | 12–25 hours | ₹20,000–₹35,000 |
Special pricing is available for live online and hybrid classes. Fees can change between batches, so confirm with a course advisor.
How long does an HR course take?
Short answer: three to six months for most practical HR certifications, and two years for an MBA in HR.
Short specialist courses such as SAP SuccessFactors can be completed in a few weeks of part-time classes. A full HR generalist certification takes longer because it covers recruitment, payroll, statutory compliance, labour law, HR policies and HR software.
What salary can an HR fresher expect in India?
Short answer: published salary surveys for 2025–2026 put most HR fresher and HR executive starting salaries in India at roughly ₹2.5 to ₹4.5 lakh per year, with metro cities at the higher end.
Estimates vary between sources. Qandle puts HR fresher salaries at about ₹2.5–4.5 LPA, Hyring estimates a median HR executive CTC of about ₹3.7 LPA, and factoHR reports higher bands for 0–2 years' experience. Your actual offer depends on the city, the size of the company, the role (recruitment and HR operations often pay differently) and the practical skills you bring, such as payroll, HR software and Excel.
Is HR certification worth it?
Short answer: yes, if it is practical. A certification is worth it when it makes you able to do HR work from your first day; a certificate on its own, without skills, is not.
For freshers and career-changers, a good HR certification shortens the time to the first job, because employers can see you already understand payroll, compliance and recruitment. For working professionals, it formalises experience and opens the door to promotions. The questions to ask are: does the course include hands-on payroll and HR software practice, are the trainers working HR professionals, and is there real placement support?
Is an online HR course valid?
Short answer: yes. Employers care about what you can do and who certified you, not whether you attended in a classroom.
Live, instructor-led online classes with practical exercises are as effective as a classroom for most learners. Recorded-only courses usually give less practice and feedback. HR International Academy runs the same programmes in Calicut classrooms, live online and in hybrid batches.
Which HR certification is most recognised in India?
Short answer: it depends on your career stage. International credentials such as SHRM and CIPD are well known but are usually designed for experienced professionals and based on US or UK practice. For freshers in India, a practical certification that covers Indian labour law, payroll and HR software from a recognised, ISO-certified institute is usually more useful for getting the first job.

Do HR courses come with placement?
Short answer: many offer placement support, but no institute can honestly guarantee a job.
Look for concrete support: CV writing, mock interviews, job referrals and hiring partners. HR International Academy reports a 90% placement success rate, 100+ hiring partners and 1,000+ students placed. See our placements page.
