CCHRP (International HRM) is a job-oriented HR certification awarded by the CCHRP Awarding Body, New Delhi. Instead of only preparing you for an exam, it trains you to do the job: recruitment, onboarding, payroll and compliance, HR policies and international HRM, practised on real HR software under trainers who work as HR managers in established companies.
- Duration: 4 to 6 months
- Fee: ₹60,000 for Indian students, US$699 for international students
- Who can join: anyone with a degree, MBA or diploma, or HR work experience at any level
- Awarded by: CCHRP Awarding Body, New Delhi
- Study mode: classroom, live online or hybrid
- Your journey: enquire, interview, register, assessment, schedule, training, online test, certificate
Prefer a broader postgraduate-level diploma? The Professional Diploma in HRM (PDHRM) runs for 6 months at ₹60,000.
SHRM-CP
SHRM-CP (SHRM Certified Professional) is awarded by the Society for Human Resource Management in the USA. It is an exam, not a taught course: you prepare on your own or with a prep provider, then sit a computer-based exam in one of SHRM's testing windows. You keep the credential by earning professional development credits every three years.
How CCHRP compares: SHRM-CP is widely known among multinationals, but it follows US practice, is paid in US dollars, and gives you no trainer, no HR software practice and no placement help. Many professionals take CCHRP first to get hired, then add SHRM-CP later.
CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma
CIPD is the UK's professional body for HR and people development. The Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management is studied through CIPD-approved centres, typically over 12 to 16 months, is assessed by written assignments, and leads to Associate membership of CIPD.
How CCHRP compares: CIPD is well regarded internationally and builds strategic HR thinking, but it is UK-focused, costs more and takes about three times as long. It suits people who already work in HR. CCHRP gets freshers job-ready first.
MBA in HR
An MBA in HR is a two-year postgraduate degree. Full-time programmes usually need an entrance test such as CAT, XAT, MAT or CMAT; online and distance MBAs are more flexible. For online or distance study, check that the university is approved by UGC-DEB.
How CCHRP compares: an MBA is a valuable long-term degree, but many programmes are theory-heavy. CCHRP adds the practical payroll, compliance and HR software skills recruiters look for, and many students combine the two. HR International Academy also offers an MBA in HR (from ₹70,000) and a BBA in HR (from ₹59,000) through 12 partner universities.
